Competition Posters

So before we pick any competition, we are asked to come out with 3 posters and each of them represent one of the competition that we are interested to join. 

So I'll briefly explain each of the poster in this blog post.

It's a competition name Webby Awards.

Basically this is my favourite category among all the competition which is "video mashup".

I've include my video/focus portfolio into this blog. The reason I want to join this competition is to strengthen my focus portfolio. 

I wish to show more editing, planning, storyboard skills in this video.

The title of my mashup video will be HAPPY BIRTHDAY. 

It's to create a brithday song with combintions of horror movies footages and audios. 

To turn a "happy birthday" become "creepy birthday". 

This is another category that I wish to join in the same competition which is Webby Awards. 

Category that I picked is "Best use of photography" and I decided to create a emotional website which contains lots of photograph which represent different people's stories.

The message behind this website is "don't worry, you're not alone."

This is the last competition that I picked which is "The A'Design Award" and category is "Movie and Animation Design Award".

My idea is to create a video commercial to show the latest brand of coffee pack.

My graduating portfolio is composed in this way because I want to show my strength on video production as a multimedia designer.

My future ambition is to enter video or film industry, with this competition I would be able to strengthen my portfolio by adding in commercial's video into it.

4. clear reason how your professional portfolio would benefit by answering the challenge of c/f/e

Through this competition I would be able to add another new video with advertising components into my focus professional portfolio. 

5. Why the event is relevant to Multimedia Design?

There are 80 categories in A'Design Competition and some of it are related to Multimedia design such as digital and broadcasting media design and music media and sound design.

My graduating professional portfolio is composed in this way in order to demonstrate my excellent skill on both pre production and post production so that I can get a chance to enter video or film industry.

In order to enter video or film industry I have to come out with a portfolio which only focus on video. Through this competition, I'm able to enhance my video editing or production skill.

5. Why the event is relevant to Multimedia Design?

There are five types of entries in Webby Award that related to Multimedia Design, Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile & Apps and Social Web.

7. It's feasibility in terms of amout of work involve etc.

40 hours for 1 project.
-> research on song, video, movies
-> grab unauthorized videos and musics from other internet, save time for video shoot.
-> edit audio and footages

8. Understand about the brief insight.

-Webby will not accept DVDs with online film & video entries on them. Work is to be judged as it appeared online and must be posted online and available for review at a specified URL or Web page.

-Entries must be entered online using the online entry form. 

9. Your big idea

Create a birthday song with combination of horror movie's footages and audios.
